The idea was to find several interesting, and with luck – outstanding, one-act plays by new and unknown writers, and present two evenings of varied and exciting appetisers. Having advertised on the web and overwhelmed by submissions from as far afield as the US, Canada, Australia, Argentina, Japan and the UK and by the July deadline horla received well over 100 scripts. The winning entries were by authors from a slightly narrower range of countries: US, Australia, UK and Japan.
4 continents, 8 plays, 7 directors, 20 actors, 28 days, 50 seats, only 1 Rose & Crown Theatre.
